The Team

Mark Evans, Founder and Managing Director, Converge Labs
Mark founded Converge Labs in 2010 to bring brands and the tech community together around market innovation and ideation to accelerate the process of experimentation and implementation of new products and services for marketers, entrepreneurs, investors and the rest of the business ecosystem. I.e., bringing the buyers and sellers together.
Over the last two years Converge has produced successful conferences and events across the spectrum of SoLoMo, including: Geo-Loco, Social-Loco, and the 2012 global launches of Mobile-Loco and BrandConnect in Barcelona, Spain. And most recently, The Big Brand Hackathon with Kraft Foods and The Home Depot in San Francisco.

Marc Prioleau
Managing Director of Prioleau Advisors and Content Director, Converge Labs
Marc is the Managing Director of Prioleau Advisors. Whether through brilliant foresight or lack of imagination, he has worked in the location and local services market for over 15 years. He enjoys the recent surge in interest in LBS because it makes him more interesting at parties. Prioleau Advisors provides strategic and M&A advisory services for the location and local search markets. The core tenet of Prioleau Advisors is that successful M&A is rooted in deep understanding of the market dynamics, strategies and people involved. We are surprised to find these elements frequently lacking in M&A and try to fix that in our space. Prior employers have included Trimble Navigation, SiRF, deCarta and CloudMade.
